FC Porto have signed Adrián López on a five-year contract, paying Club Atlético de Madrid around €11m for the striker's services.
Adrián becomes the second Spanish player to move from Atlético to Porto this summer, following in the footsteps of Óliver Torres, while his new coach will also be a Spaniard – Julen Lopetegui. "I'm here full of ambition and the desire to help Porto have a very good season," Adrián said. "I feel very happy to sign for such a big club and I hope to repay the trust people put in me."
The 26-year-old started only four Liga games in Atlético's title-winning campaign, scoring once, although he did also find the net against FC Zenit and Chelsea FC in the UEFA Champions League as the Rojiblancos reached the final. His Porto contract has a buy-out clause of €60m.
