FC Barcelona have continued to strengthen for the 2014/15 campaign with the signing of goalkeeper Claudio Bravo from Real Sociedad de Fútbol for a reported €12m fee.
After announcing the arrival of new coach Luis Enrique from RC Celta de Vigo last month, Barcelona have since added Sevilla FC's Croatia midfielder Ivan Rakitićand keeper Marc-André ter Stegen from VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach. Chilean international Bravo has joined on a four-year deal.
The 31-year-old former CD Colo Colo custodian made 229 league appearances during eight seasons with La Real – for whom he featured in last term's UEFA Champions League – and once scored from a free-kick during a second division game against Club Gimnàstic de Tarragona in 2010.
Bravo also played an important part in Chile's 2-0 victory against Spain in FIFA World Cup Group B last week, eliminating the holders with a game to spare.
Barcelona will commence the 2014/15 UEFA Champions League in the group stage; La Real will feature in the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round.
