The UEFA Champions League and UEFA Women's Champions League trophies will be handed over to the city of Lisbon, venue for this season's finals, during a special ceremony taking place from 12.30 local time on 17 April at the Câmara Municipal de Lisboa.
This prestigious event marks the countdown to the UEFA Women's Champions League and UEFA Champions League finals being played in the Portuguese capital on 22 and 24 May respectively.
UEFA President Michel Platini will hand the trophies to the mayor of Lisbon, António Costa, at a ceremony conducted in the presence of Portugese Football Federation (FPF) president Fernando Gomes, UEFA Champions League final ambassador Luís Figo, the FPF director of women's football Mónica Jorge and former Portugal goalkeeper Vítor Baía. Representatives of last season's men's and women's competition winners, FC Bayern München and VfL Wolfsburg, will also be in attendance.
Before these proceedings, the two trophies will go on a tour taking in some of the city's most famous locations, starting in the morning in Belem harbour, where the silverware will arrive by boat. Full details of the trophy tour will be available on UEFA.com.
