Dortmund capture Serbia midfielder Jojić

Borussia Dortmund have moved to fill the void created by Jakub Błaszczykowski's long-term injury by signing 21-year-old Serbia midfielder Miloš Jojić from FK Partizan.

Borussia Dortmund have reinforced their midfield options by agreeing a deal with FK Partizan for the purchase of Serbia midfielder Miloš Jojić.

The 21-year-old, voted the Serbian Super League's best player during the first half of the season, has penned a contract running until June 2018. "We're delighted to have signed Miloš Jojić," said Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc. "He's a versatile midfielder with lots of potential."

A product of Partizan's academy, Jojić came of age during a two-year loan spell with second-tier FK Teleoptik Zemun. On returning to his parent club, the midfielder has registered ten times in 35 league appearances. He also found the net on his Serbia debut in last October's friendly match against Japan.

Jürgen Klopp's side – currently 17 points off the pace in the Bundesliga – face FC Zenit in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 on 25 February and 19 March.
