A right ankle sprain is unlikely to stop FC Barcelona forward Neymar playing in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg away to Manchester City FC on 18 February after the Liga side confirmed he would return to action in three to four weeks.
The 21-year-old Brazilian international – who has scored six goals in 16 Liga appearances since moving from Santos FC last summer – sprained tendons in his right ankle during Barcelona's 2-0 Copa del Rey round of 16 second leg win at Getafe CF last night. Despite initial fears of a long-term absence, tests carried out today showed that the Barça No11 should miss only the league games against Levante UD, Málaga CF and Valencia CF as well as the two-legged Copa del Rey quarter-final, also against Levante.
Following their visit to the City of Manchester Stadium next month, Gerardo Martino's men will conclude their mouthwatering last-16 tie at the Camp Nou on 12 March.
