FC Bayern München have confirmed the signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Robert Lewandowski.
The Polish international will join the European champions on a five-year contract on 1 July when his terms with the Schwarzgelben expire. Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: "We are very happy to finalise this deal. Robert Lewandowski is one of the best strikers in the world. He will make the FC Bayern squad even stronger. It's a boost for us."
Lewandowski is the second key Dortmund player in under a year to elect to move to the Bundesliga titleholders following Mario Götze's reported €37m switch to the Fußball Arena München, which was announced last April, in the summer.
The 25-year-old arrived at Dortmund from KKS Lech Poznań in June 2010. He has helped Jürgen Klopp's men win two German titles and one domestic cup, but was denied Europe's top prize when on the losing side against his future employers in the 2013 UEFA Champions League final at Wembley.
The former Znicz Pruszków player has scored an impressive 65 goals in 115 Bundesliga matches and 15 in 25 UEFA Champions League outings, including all four in Dortmund's 4-1 first-leg victory against Real Madrid CF in the semi-finals last season.
