Real Sociedad de Fútbol forward Imanol Agirretxe said he was keen to "live some more very special years" with the Basque outfit after signing a new three-year deal.
Involved in all four of the Txuri-urdin's UEFA Champions League group stage matches this season, Agirretxe – who is one game short of 100 appearances in the Spanish top flight – is thrilled to be remaining at his boyhood club until June 2018.
"This is where I want to be so I am very happy," he said. "Time passes so fast and you continue racking up important figures [in your career]." Agirretxe has scored 42 goals in 165 first and second division outings for La Real since making his debut in 2005.
Jagoba Arrasate's side – bottom of UEFA Champions League Group A with one point – travel to FC Shakhtar Donetsk on 27 November before concluding their campaign at home to Bayer 04 Leverkusen on 10 December.
