The first half was tough to watch. Steaua were well-organised and gave a disciplined performance. There wasn't a lot of space for us to play in. However, it wasn't undeserved that we managed to score the equaliser, since the second half was often one-way football.

Overall we lacked a bit of luck in taking advantage of our chances and the precision in our final pass was sometimes missing. Nonetheless, we will take the positives from this game. We fought really well and showed a lot of spirit. Our chances of progressing from this group are still there.

Laurenţiu Reghecampf, Steaua coach
We had a fantastic opportunity to take all three points, but now we must speak about experience, maturity and the fact we have to learn certain things. We have to learn and to do it well. We shouldn't have pressed in the 90th minute – we should have been focused on keeping possession and on keeping the ball far from our goal.

Generally speaking, we played well. We scored and stopped our opponents, who are a very strong team, but good performances are quickly forgotten when mistakes are made in the last minute. We have to think positive.

I'm always proud of my players, who proved today that they are a strong and united team that showed commitment and sacrifice. I thanked them afterwards and we know that it will be very hard to beat Schalke and to get a positive result in London [against Chelsea FC]. But, as I said, let's think positive.
