Juventus forward Fabio Quagliarella could not hide his disappointment after Galatasaray AŞ’s Umut Bulut cancelled out the goal he thought would have given the Bianconeri their first victory in UEFA Chamopions League Group B.

For the fifth time in their last six games, Juventus conceded first, to Didier Drogba. Substitute Quagliarella, who also salvaged Juventus a point against FC København on matchday one, first earned the Bianconeri a penalty and then headed in a second with three minutes remaining. However, it was substitute Bulut to have the last word to make it 2-2. "We deserved to win," the Juve striker told UEFA.com; Drogba was happier.

Fabio Quagliarella, Juventus forward
Not even two minutes passed, I think 30 seconds or something [between Juve's second goal and the equaliser]. We are disappointed because four minutes from time we had completed the comeback and it was a great achievement. I think Galatasaray created a couple of half chances and scored twice. Especially in the second half I think Juventus were the better team and deserved to win.

I don't think we lacked anything [in the first half]. You also have to consider that in European competitions you face strong sides like Galatasaray, forwards and players in general who can create you troubles, you also have to give the opponents credits. In the second half even if we were one goal down, we gave everything not only to equalise but to win the game and we went very close to do it. It's a pity.

I'm enjoying playing in the Champions League but the only thing that counts is qualification and I hope that finally we will manage to qualify like last season. We are now facing Real Madrid, a team with several champions and we will have to be good to not give away anything in the two games against them because, especially in attack, they are phenomenal. Galatasaray away will also be tough but we will go there and give our best as always.

Leonardo Bonucci, Juventus defender
I made a huge mistake, I thought Drogba was closer to me and I didn't hit the ball cleanly. In Europe opponents always punish any mistake you make and especially players like Drogba. Now everything is more complicated in the group for us, let's hope we can qualify as we did last season. We just have to continue working hard and start winning games. Today we were very good to come from behind but not as good to defend our lead. We must improve but I'm sure the spirit is always the right one.

Didier Drogba, Galatasaray forward
I'm very happy, I think it was a very good result for us even if we were expecting something better. The penalty was difficult for us mentally but we still believed that we could come back and score another goal and that's what we did. In the end it was a good result, we can be satisfied.

I think that if we had defended a little higher up the field, we would have been able to defend our 1-0 lead a bit better. But Juve were at home, they had their fans behind them and it's logical that they ended up scoring so that's it.

It has been a difficut for the club in the last two or three days [with coach Fatih Terim departing to be replaced by Roberto Mancini], this is football fortunately or unfortunately, I don't know. Now we have a new manager, we are going to work with him in order to win games and do our best for the club. The most important thing is the club and we always have to try to do our best.

Felipe Melo, Galatasaray midfielder
We worked hard on the tactics with Mancini, he has already proved to be a very experienced coach. In just a couple of days he could not do much obviously but it was certainly a good start for him. We were very solid, especially in the first half when we conceded almost nothing to Juventus. It was definitely a good result for us.
