RSC Anderlecht will be without Matías Suárez for the rest of the season, while Guillaume Gillet is also set for an extended absence.
Suárez picked up an injury prior to Sunday's 1-1 draw against R. Standard de Liège, with subsequent tests revealing torn cruciate ligaments in his right knee. "To all the people in and outside the club who support me, I say: 'Don't worry, I will not let my head drop. I will return'," said the 25-year-old.
Gillet, meanwhile, sustained an injury to his left knee early in the second half of the game against Eerste Klasse leaders Standard. The flesh wound has since been "thoroughly cleaned and stitched" according to the club, although the Belgian international is still likely to be unavailable for "several weeks".
Anderlecht are bottom of UEFA Champions League Group C having failed to register a point from their opening three fixtures. John van den Brom's team travel to section leaders Paris Saint-Germain FC on Tuesday 5 November.
