FK Austria Wien have been dealt a blow with the news that top scorer Marko Stankovic will be out for around a month with torn muscle fibres in his left calf.
The 27-year-old attacker suffered the injury in Saturday's 2-1 Bundesliga win at SK Sturm Graz. The club expect Stankovic – with six league goals in as many games – to be sidelined for four to five weeks, keeping him out of next Tuesday's UEFA Champions League Group G trip to FC Zenit and making him a doubt for Club Atlético de Madrid's visit to the group stage debutants on 22 October. Austria lost their opening match 1-0 at home to FC Porto.
