Paris Saint-Germain have continued their summer spending by signing promising defender Lucas Digne from LOSC Lille.

It is reported that the Ligue 1 champions have paid €15m for the 19-year-old, who has signed a five-year contract with the capital club. Digne recently helped France win the FIFA U-20 World Cup title, and established himself as Lille's first-choice left-back last season. He was also regularly involved in their UEFA Champions League campaign, appearing in five of LOSC's six group stage fixtures.

"To play for Paris Saint-Germain, with these exceptional players, is a dream come true," Digne said. "I'm very happy. After the World Cup title in Turkey, I am having an incredible summer. I would like to thank the club for the confidence they have placed in me."

The acquisition of Digne comes barely 24 hours after PSG spent around €64m to lure Edinson Cavani from SSC Napoli. Laurent Blanc's side will discover their UEFA Champions League group stage opponents when the draw is made in Monaco on Thursday 29 August.
