Olympique Lyonnais' coveted young midfielder Clément Grenier has removed the doubt surrounding his future and elected to stay with the seven-time French champions until June 2016.

The 22-year-old, who won his first two caps for France in June, has signed a two-year contract extension. He was instrumental in Lyon's third-place finish in Ligue 1 last season as Rémi Garde's side earned a UEFA Champions League third qualifying round spot. A native of the area and a Lyon academy product, Grenier raised his profile in 2012/13 with seven goals in 28 league games, reportedly catching the eye of other big European clubs in the process.

"I'm still on a learning curve," he said. "I had six good months late in 2012/13, but I want to carry on for at least one more season at OL because I have a job to finish."
