Real Madrid CF have reached a deal with Málaga CF to bring Spain's UEFA European Under-21 Championship winning midfielder Isco to the Santiago Bernabéu for a reported fee of around €30m.
The Valencia CF youth-team product – who netted three goals as La Rojita defended their Under-21 title in Israel recently – arrives at the Santiago Bernabéu after agreeing terms on a five-year deal with the nine-time European champions. The move brings to an end a successful two-season spell at Málaga for the player who scored 14 goals in 69 Liga appearances at La Rosaleda while helping Los Boquerones to a first UEFA Champions League appearance where they reached last season's quarter-finals.
A native of Andalusia, Isco was named as Italian publication Tuttosport's Golden Boy for 2012 as Europe's best young player while he earned a first senior cap for Spain in a 3-1 friendly victory against Uruguay in Doha last February. He will now be looking to add to his UEFA Champions League tally of three goals in eight competition appearances when Madrid begin their challenge from the group stage next season.
