Valencia CF have rewarded midfielder Sofiane Feghouli with a two-year contract extension that ties the Algerian international to the Spanish side until June 2016.
The 23-year-old has been one of the Liga outfit's key performers this term and his three goals in six UEFA Champions League outings helped the 2000 runners-up set up a last-16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain FC. Feghouli has struck nine goals in 47 top-flight games for Valencia since arriving from Grenoble Foot 38 in 2010.
He is set to join up with his Algeria team-mates for the Africa Cup of Nations, which runs from 19 January to 10 February. If they go all the way he would miss the first leg against PSG at Mestalla on 12 February. The return takes place in Paris three weeks later.
