FC Barcelona have tied down attacker Christian Tello for a further three seasons after the 21-year-old agreed a deal committing him to the Camp Nou outfit until June 2016.
The announcement ends uncertainty about the future of the home-grown player given Tello's previous contract was due to expire at the end of the season. His new terms include a €10m buyout clause.
The winger made his Barcelona debut under Josep Guardiola in a 1-0 Copa del Rey victory at CE L'Hospitatlet in November 2011 and he has gone on to score five goals in 23 Liga games. The Spanish Under-21 international also netted his third UEFA Champions League goal in Barça's 3-2 Group G victory at home to FC Spartak Moskva on matchday one.
The Catalan club will discover their round of 16 fate when the draw is made in Nyon next Thursday.
