I think we deserved to win tonight, but I am satisfied, not disappointed. We missed few little things. Especially at the end of the game. There was commitment, and it was an interesting match. The two games against Schalke were good. If there are regrets, they come from the two games against Olympiacos, where there were opportunities to get points.
Now we know what the UEFA Champions League looks like. This campaign was not the best – we had a lot of glitches. I hope there will be a next time. I am proud of my boys. We would have preferred to sign off with a win, but I saw tonight what I wanted to see from my team.
Huub Stevens, Schalke coach
Both teams had a good game and both teams wanted to win. I think we played very well. We had the better opportunities in the first half and in the second half it was an up and down game. Montpellier played well – they are a team that shows the characteristics of French football, with great technique and movement. They certainly had the chance to win the game, but Timo [Hildebrand] kept us in it on a number of occasions.
Obviously it's great that we won the group without losing a single game. It's a fantastic achievement, although it is ultimately not that important. What is important is that we get a manageable opponent in the next stage. But either way, we are certain to be facing tough opposition.
