Celtic FC defender Emilio Izaguirre is likely to be sidelined for the majority of 2012 because of a hamstring injury sustained at the weekend.
Izaguirre picked up the knock during Sunday's 2-2 Scottish Premier League draw at Dundee United FC. Manager Neil Lennon, speaking ahead of Wednesday's home match against UEFA Champions League Group G rivals FC Barcelona, ruled out the left-back for around six weeks. The 26-year-old has played all but 24 minutes of Celtic's European campaign this season, qualifying included.
Lennon will also be without Thomas Rogne (calf), James Forrest (hip) and Lassad Nouioui (groin) for the Barcelona game. Gary Hooper (hamstring) is doubtful, while Giorgos Samaras is struggling to recover from an ankle problem.
Celtic are second in Group G, five points adrift of the Azulgrana. They conclude their group stage schedule with a trip to SL Benfica on 20 November and the visit of FC Spartak Moskva on 5 December.
