We were behind in the game, we'd lost Gonzalo Higuaín and we didn't have any other forwards on the bench and we had to make a comeback. Callejón had an influence on that [fightback]. But I think the four strikers that finished the game did some great things looking for that goal.
In my opinion Cristiano [Ronaldo] played a great match. Even if he has physical problems, he still plays. In the second half, without a real forward he played in other positions. For me he did a great job of finding space.
In the first half we committed two big mistakes. When you play against great players and a great team, that is what happens. They kill you, they don't forgive you. We didn't recover loose balls in midfield and we kept the ball too long in certain areas. In the second half we played the exact opposite, we were aggressive and dynamic.
Jürgen Klopp, Dortmund coach
If you ignore the fact that we played in Madrid today, then it's possible to call this a normal football match, in which both teams played at a very high pace and challenged their opponent in all aspects. My team were superb in the first half and in the second we showed a lot of passion. We were under plenty of pressure towards the end of the game, but I'm certain that we could have scored a third goal if we had broken through cleanly.
I think that José Callejón was brought on to win free-kicks and one of those led to the equaliser. Of course it's a shame to concede that goal in the later stages of the game, however, overall it was a lot of fun and a very intensive match. We forced our opponents to all kinds of things that they weren't necessarily willing to do. It was a great game.
