We were nervous at the start because we knew Shakhtar would be tough opponents. We conceded a goal, that's true, but we responded and then played as well as them.
Last season we did not play in Europe, so maybe this is why we are so tired. We are not used to playing so many games and we have not been able to let some important players rest this season. We also have less time to prepare for games, so it was easier last term. We have some really strong teams in our group, but I am sure that Juventus will be competitive until the end.
We did not play as we usually do. Our game was not fluid, we did not pass the ball so much, but that is also down to our opponents. Teams in the Champions League are strong. For example, they managed to stop [Andrea] Pirlo tonight, but we will fight against everyone. Tomorrow we will give the players a day off as they need to rest, both physically and mentally.

We knew perfectly how Juventus played. Also we had confidence in our abilities. We controlled the match – we had the advantage in terms of possession and we made Juventus run a lot. That was very important. I knew that Juventus were a very aggressive team, so our idea was to make them run without the ball. We had more chances to score than they did. I am very glad about the way we played, even more than about the result. Now we have a game against Chelsea to come, and obviously we'll try to win it.
Juventus tried to play in a very direct way, so there was real danger from their two forwards who were playing close to each other. We succeeded in stopping them getting the ball, and I need to thank [defender Tomáš] Hübschman for that. The fantastic qualities of our players – their speed and technique – made the difference, so I think we deserved to win this match.
