FC Porto and Paris Saint-Germain FC may be in buoyant mood after winning their respective openers in UEFA Champions League Group A, but neither coach is taking anything for granted ahead of matchday two. Vítor Pereira is wary but "has faith in our own ability", while PSG's Carlo Ancelotti is keen to play down his team's chances.

Porto
Coach Vítor Pereira

The last match in Zagreb only left good memories. The team showed great tactical maturity and our identity was expressed throughout the match. We prepared for this game as we always do, passing information to the players as usual. We will play as we do all the time, controlling the ball.

We're not going to worry only about [Zlatan] Ibrahimović, because there are 11 players in a team and PSG have a great side, individually and collectively. But they'll be up against a great team too.

This year we want a Champions League campaign that reflects our quality. Being favourites in this competition [as PSG are] doesn't mean much, as we saw last year, so we just have to play match by match.

Weekend result
Saturday: Rio Ave FC 2-2 Porto (Monteiro 79 86; Lopes 33, Martinez 90)

Helton; Lopes, Maicon, Otamendi, Alex Sandro; Lucho (Fernando 64), Defour (Kléber 84), Moutinho; Atsu (Varela 66), Rodríguez, Jackson Martinez.

• Jackson Martinez scored his fourth league goal in five matches to earn Porto a point and keep them level with Portuguese Liga leaders SL Benfica.

Team news
Rolando is available after serving a one-game ban on matchday one, while Fernando came on midway through the second half against Rio Ave for his first appearance in more than a month following a thigh injury.

PSG
Coach Carlo Ancelotti
Porto are the stronger team, they have more experience in this competition. For us it is a very good test of our confidence. Playing an 'Italian style' is not necessarily a bad thing; Italy won the 2006 World Cup that way and they have plenty more titles. It is just a different way of approaching a match.

Porto play differently to us. I don't think they are weaker without Hulk, they're just playing differently and they have their own identity. With Thiago Silva our defence has improved considerably. We're in a good moment, we have a good atmosphere in the changing room and this is the perfect time to play Porto. They have a good defence and a good attack, but it all depends on how the match pans out. It will be great if we win.
