Tom De Sutter insists RSC Anderlecht will not travel to FK Ekranas for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie with any sense of complacency following a 5-0 home victory against the Lithuanian side.
The striker, who set Les Mauves et Blancs en route to a win which all but ensures they will participate in the play-offs for the third time in four seasons, says Anderlecht must retain their focus and will not go to Vilnius for a "holiday".
Tom De Sutter, Anderlecht forward
We won 5–0 and it is great. We dominated the whole game and we did not concede. It is easier to play when you are winning. I received the ball [for the opening goal on two minutes] from the left and I got ahead of the defender and scored with a header. We will not go on holiday to Lithuania because we have to keep our concentration to get a good result. Our goal is to qualify for the UEFA Champions League group stage.
Sacha Kljestan, Anderlecht midfielder
The team played well. Tom De Sutter scored an early goal which made life a lot easier for us. Overall, it was a good result. We go to Lithuania hoping we can wrap things up next week. For me, it was good to come into the game and get on the ball, to keep it moving from side to side and front to back, to keep the team moving and working, because it was pretty hot out there.
Marko Andjelković, Ekranas midfielder
Anderlecht were at a different level compared to us. Anderlecht are a good team and a big club – they showed it on the pitch. When you lose against a good team there is no shame. To concede a goal after a few minutes was very bad for us. We had some chances but when you miss them against Anderlecht they punish you.
Aurimas Vertelis, Ekranas midfielder
The result was right because our opponents had a lot of chances. We conceded the first goal too quickly and that hurt us. We tried to fight but we struggled. They then scored the second and the third goals. It was embarrassing to lose this way, but the result tells the truth. We had chances but we were not lucky. Anderlecht are a stronger side than us and a club at the highest level.
