FC Barcelona have sealed the signing of Arsenal FC midfielder Alex Song, who moves to the Catalan giants for €19m.
Song, 24, has signed a five-year deal at the club after passing a medical today. The Cameroonian international joins fellow summer arrival Jordi Alba at the Camp Nou.
A product of SC Bastia's youth team, Song left for Arsenal, initially on loan, in 2005 before sealing a permanent move shortly afterwards. He went on to score seven times in 138 Premier League games for the Gunners.
Capped 34 times by his country, he joins several high-profile players who have made the switch from Arsenal to Barcelona in recent times, including Thierry Henry, Aleksandr Hleb and Cesc Fàbregas. Both sides begin their UEFA Champions League challenge in the group stage this season.
