Ticket sales for the 2012 UEFA Champions League final – to be played at the Fußball Arena München on Saturday 19 May – ran from 12.00CET on Thursday 1 March to 18.00CET on Friday 16 March, exclusively via UEFA.com.
• Application process
The 2012 UEFA Champions League final ticket portal was opened for orders from the international public between 12.00 on 1 March and 18.00 on 16 March.
Each applicant was asked to complete the online application form for a maximum of two tickets and will enter the ticket ballot regardless of the time of submission within the application period.
Applicants will be informed by email by Monday 2 April as to whether they have been successful or not. Tickets will be dispatched by registered post no later than the end of April. Applicants will be able to check the status of their orders via the UEFA Champions League final ticket portal from 2 April.
Any ticket order not in accordance with the UEFA Champions League final ticketing Terms and Conditions will be rejected.
• Price
Tickets were available in four price categories – Category 1: €370, Cat 2: €260, Cat 3: €160, and Cat 4: €70. Youth Package tickets for one child accompanied by one adult were available at discount prices in Category 2: €140 (1 adult + 1 child ticket).
Payment for all tickets is by credit card only. If you are a successful applicant your credit card will be charged automatically and no changes or cancellations will be accepted after 16 March (18.00).
• Applicants vetted
All ticket holders are bound by the ticketing Terms and Conditions and UEFA will take action in cases of any breaches. Online applications will be verified with the competent authorities to ensure that anyone banned from attending football matches cannot purchase the tickets.
Sales of tickets for the 2012 UEFA Champions League final are being conducted exclusively on UEFA.com. UEFA urges all football fans to refrain from purchasing tickets or hospitality packages from unauthorised sellers, agents or websites as such tickets may be counterfeit or invalid and unaware purchasers may be refused admission to the stadium.
Fans attending the final are warned that tickets will be personalised and that security checks at the stadium are planned.
