Chelsea FC midfielder Ramires has renewed his commitment to the Londoners by signing a new five-year contract until 2017.
Ramires joined Chelsea on a four-year deal in summer 2010 from SL Benfica and in his first season made 41 appearance in all competitions, scoring twice – one of them the club's goal of the season against Manchester City FC. The Brazilian international has shown a greater eye for the back of the net this term, registering eight times in 30 outings so far, including two goals in the UEFA Champions League.
"I am very happy with my new contract," Ramires, 25 later this month, told the Chelsea website. "I am very happy with the support I have playing for this club so I want to say thank you to Chelsea." The former Cruzeiro EC man played his 50th Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion FC on Saturday.
