FC Barcelona will be without Alexis Sánchez for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Wednesday.
The Chilean international, who has scored 11 goals in all competitions since his summer move from Udinese Calcio, suffered a tear to his right thigh during Saturday's 3-1 victory against Real Sporting de Gijón. Éric Abidal is also out of the Leverkusen game due to a groin injury.
Midfielder Thiago Alcántara, meanwhile, is a doubt having sustained an injury to his right shin in training with Spain ahead of their 5-0 friendly triumph against Venezuela. Barça hold a 3-1 lead over their German counterparts going into the return leg at the Camp Nou.
