Real Madrid CF will be without winger Ángel Di María for their UEFA Champions League round of 16 first-leg encounter at PFC CSKA Moskva.
The Argentina forward played and scored in his team's 4-0 Liga win against Real Racing Club on Saturday but ended the match with muscular bruising. The 24-year-old, who has now found the net five times in the league this term, picked up the injury following a collision with Racing's Christian Fernández towards the end of the victory, which moved Madrid 13 points clear of FC Barcelona at the summit.
The game was Di María's first appearance for two months since sustaining a thigh injury in December. He will now undergo further tests to determine the extent of the damage. Lassana Diarra (back) and Hamit Altıntop (calf) have also been left out of the match squad for Tuesday's game in Moscow. The return in the Spanish capital is scheduled for 14 March.
