FC Internazionale Milano have extended the contract of 20-year-old right-back Marco Faraoni until June 2016 with the Under-21 international having broken into the first team this season.
"I'm really happy," said the one-time S.S. Lazio trainee. "It's a honour for me to play for Inter and I can't wait to show all my ability and commitment to the club." Faraoni made his Inter debut in the Italian Super Cup game against AC Milan on 6 August 2011, with his first Serie A appearance coming as a substitute against Cagliari Calcio on 19 November. Having played in two UEFA Champions League group stage fixtures, he scored his first senior goal in a 5-0 win against Parma FC on 7 January.
Inter visit Olympique de Marseille for the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie on 22 February, with the return fixture scheduled for San Siro on 13 March.
