UEFA Champions League hopefuls FC Bayern München must make do without defender Diego Contento for at least four weeks after the left-back sustained a broken toe in his left foot.
The 21-year-old, who has made five league appearances for Bayern this season, is on crutches with his foot in a plaster cast following the injury suffered during training with the Bundesliga pacesetters on Friday.
The Munich-born former Germany Under-17 international is hoping to recover in time for Bayern's UEFA Champions League round of 16 first-leg tie at FC Basel 1893 on 22 February. Jupp Heynckes' side play the return leg on 13 March.
