UEFA position regarding Basel-Bayern match

UEFA is confident the situation between the Swiss Football Association (SFV-ASF) and FIFA will be resolved before the round of 16 tie between FC Basel 1893 and FC Bayern München.

UEFA is confident that the Swiss Football Association (SFV-ASF) will comply with the FIFA request before the deadline of 13 January 2012 and before the UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg between FC Basel 1893 and FC Bayern München on 22 February. Should this not be the case UEFA will review the situation nearer the time.
