Based on the game I have to say we are happy with the result. It often got a bit hairy near our goal – look at the Robinho chance, when he hit the post. However we had some good chances after the break. The team we had on the pitch today, they played aggressively without thinking they were playing against a top club. I think our commitment and desire deserved, and finally brought us, this draw.
We were surprised by Milan's ability to maintain a high tempo for the whole game and that deserves our full respect. I'm delighted with the way we were able to play at such crazy speeds. I am happy with the performance of our centre-backs, despite Marko Simić making a mistake. He and [Artyom] Radkov complement one another.
I want to say a special thanks to our supporters. It was nice to play in such a great atmosphere. Now we want to beat Viktoria Plzeň.
Massimiliano Allegri, Milan coach
It's typical in football. If you don't kill off games when you can, then anything can happen. A free-kick, a corner and you can always concede the equaliser. In the end we also risked losing a game that was in our hands for more than an hour.
We wanted to win this game for many reasons, not least because we wanted to dedicate it to [Antonio] Cassano. It's a pity we didn't. We have to score more goals, especially when we are dominating as we did in the first half. Unfortunately we didn't move so well in attack tonight, especially when we had space after our goal.
There are two games left in the group. I think it's very important to finish first, now it's more difficult but we will surely give it a try.
