Ernesto Valverde, Olympiacos coach
We needed to win to have any chance of finishing in third place in the group. I was pleased we got that win. The first half was tough as both teams played counterattacking football at great pace. After the interval we were able to take control of the match. We would like to thank the fans for their part in creating a fantastic atmosphere.

Jürgen Klopp, Dortmund coach
It's very sobering, especially the way we conceded the goals. We were not focused enough during the key moments. We play some decent football and are quite dangerous in possession, but we cannot afford to concede this many goals. Their second came from a throw-in where we didn't react quickly enough. The way the striker had so much time in the penalty area was just not acceptable.

We should have scored more goals in the first half. After the break Olympiacos defended very well and they were compact. This obviously made it more difficult to create chances. Overall, we did not quite do enough. I said before the match that Olympiacos have a lot of quality. Even so, we had spells where we controlled the game, but all in all we did not deserve a win tonight.

Now we need to win at home against Olympiacos. Anyone who saw tonight’s match will know how difficult that's going to be. So far, I do not feel we have given a good account of ourselves in the competition. Dortmund are better than our results suggest.
