Two-goal Seydou Doumbia paid tribute to strike partner Vágner Love after PFC CSKA Moskva recorded their first victory in this season's UEFA Champions League. The Ivory Coast forward is in the form of his life and has taken a liking to Europe's premier club competition. The 23-year-old has struck four times in three Group B games, coming off the back of seven goals in last season's UEFA Europa League.

Seydou Doumbia, CSKA Moskva forward
I always play well with Vágner Love and I like playing with him. I knew we would get opportunities and we would take them. It was tough at the start of the game but we stuck to the task in front of us and managed to take the chances that came our way. I don't think I can comment on my own performance. I did what the coach asked me to do today and that was the important thing as I helped my team claim all three points.

Zoran Tošić, CSKA Moskva midfielder
Seydou Doumbia is wonderful. At the moment I think he is one of the best players in our team and we are very happy we have a player that can score a goal or two. He is very dangerous and that is important as it is great to have a player like this. From the very beginning we showed that we wanted to win. We scored at a good moment and managed to control the game after that. Maybe they had more possession than us, but I definitely think we deserved to win today.

Didier Zokora, Trabzonspor midfielder
Before the game I was speaking a lot about [his international team-mate] Seydou Doumbia because he is very fast and strong. I tried to stop him but I was unable to do that today. He managed to score two goals and I am really happy for him and it's good for the Ivory Coast team as well. Vágner Love and Seydou played really well, they managed to create a lot of space it was difficult for the team.

CSKA play in a very compact style and they have a lot of players who have a lot of experience and it was very difficult. But we are still content at the moment as we have four points and if we win against CSKA at home we perhaps have a 50% chance of making the next round.

Halil Altıntop, Trabzonspor forward
Before the game we were thinking of perhaps taking a point from here, but I think in the second game we can take all three points. Vágner Love and Doumbia are very strong players. It is difficult to play against players like these. However, I think the return game will be different and I think we have every chance of winning that match.
