KRC Genk defender Nadson will miss UEFA Champions League matchday three after suffering an ankle injury on Wednesday.
Nadson got his right foot stuck in the turf during the 2-0 defeat at Bayer 04 Leverkusen and was forced off with 21 minutes remaining. Fears that he may have torn ankle ligaments were allayed thanks to a scan, though the 26-year-old will still be out of action for a month.
Nadson is therefore certain to sit out the trip to Group E leaders Chelsea FC on 19 October and could be struggling to be available in time for the home return fixture on matchday four.
