London's three representatives in this season's UEFA Champions League – Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC – have been unable to bring the trophy to the United Kingdom capital, yet the most prized silverware in European club football will nonetheless be paraded in the city ahead of the UEFA Champions League final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 28 May.

At a special ceremony at the Guildhall on Wednesday, the trophy was delivered to the host city for this year's final as UEFA President Michel Platini handed over the cup to the mayor of London, Boris Johnson. Now, one of football's hotbed cities will be showcasing, at various high-profile venues, the trophy that all of the world's top players want to win.
