Tottenham Hotspur FC defender William Gallas has signed a two-year extension to his contract with the UEFA Champions League quarter-finalists.
The 33-year-old joined Tottenham last summer from London rivals Arsenal FC on a one-year deal but will remain at White Hart Lane until 2013 after an impressive opening campaign. The former French international has made six appearances this term in Europe's elite club competition in addition to 21 Premier League outings.
Twice an English champion with Chelsea FC, Gallas is a doubt for Tottenham's quarter-final first leg away to Real Madrid CF on 5 April while midfielders Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon are also struggling for fitness after pulling out of international assignments in the last week. All three have hamstring injuries.
