Valencia CF have reached an agreement with LOSC Lille Métropole for the services of central defender Adil Rami, although the French international will remain on loan with the UEFA Europa League challengers until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old will arrive at Mestalla in the summer on a four-year deal after the clubs settled on a reported fee of around €6m. "I'm delighted to have the opportunity to complete a dream of playing for one of the big clubs in European football," Rami said. "Valencia are very well known not just in France but all over the world."

Currently in his fifth season with Lille, Rami has played in every league game in helping Les Dogues to the Ligue 1 summit and has featured in all four of France's UEFA EURO 2012 qualifiers.

While Lille have a UEFA Europa League round of 32 tie against PSV Eindhoven to look forward to, Valencia face FC Schalke 04 in the UEFA Champions League round of 16.
