Madrid and Milan vie for top billing

The European Champion Clubs' Cup's most decorated sides top the billing on Matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League as Real Madrid CF host AC Milan looking to continue their perfect start in Group G.

Five months after leading FC Internazionale Milano to their third European crown at the Santiago Bernabéu, new Madrid coach José Mourinho comes up against old Milanese rivals having already guided his side to victories over AFC Ajax and AJ Auxerre. The Rossoneri, who have seven continental crowns to Madrid's nine, will take confidence from a 3-2 triumph in the corresponding fixture last season.

Madrid are one of eight teams yet to drop a point, and two perfect records are on the line in Moscow where Group F pacesetters FC Spartak Moskva and Chelsea FC meet. The London outfit are returning to the Luzhniki Stadion for the first time since losing the 2008 final to Machester United FC.

The frontrunners also face off in Group H where Arsenal FC, the competition's nine-goal top scorers, welcome an FC Shakhtar Donetsk side yet to concede a goal, let alone drop a point. FK Partizan entertain SC Braga in the group's other game with both clubs chasing their first points.

Braga are one of six newcomers to the UEFA Champions League proper and while most are still finding their feet, Tottenham Hotspur FC have hit their stride. After drawing at SV Werder Bremen and beating fellow new boys FC Twente 4-1 last time out, the north London team have an arguably greater challenge at holders Internazionale in Group A. The Nerazzurri have found form too, with Samuel Eto'o heading the scoring charts with four goals following a Matchday 2 hat-trick in the 4-0 rout of Bremen.

After wins against FC Rubin Kazan and Panathinaikos FC, surprise Group D leaders FC København face their biggest test at FC Barcelona. Meanwhile, 2010 finalists and Group E leaders FC Bayern München will want to make home advantage count once again against CFR 1907 Cluj, as they target a sixth straight home victory in the competition

Manchester United FC, in pole position in Group C, will attempt to build on their victory in Valencia CF at home to Turkish champions Bursaspor, while in Group B Olympique Lyonnais will strive to make it three wins from three against visitors SL Benfica.
