FC Bayern München striker Miroslav Klose has been ruled out for a further three weeks after tearing a hamstring in his left thigh days after recovering from a similar injury.
The 32-year-old only returned to training this week having torn thigh muscles during Germany's UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier in Kazakhstan on 12 October. He overcame that setback but illness kept him on the bench for Bayern's 2-1 German Cup defeat of SV Werder Bremen on Tuesday and he then suffered the fresh injury in training on Wednesday.
Klose will therefore miss Bayern's UEFA Champions League Group E trip to CFR 1907 Cluj on 3 November, when a win would book the Bundesliga champions' place in the round of 16.
Arjen Robben, Mark van Bommel, Diego Contento, Breno, David Alaba and Franck Ribéry are also sidelined, although Ribéry hopes to be back to face VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach on 6 November. "This is my goal and I firmly believe in it," the winger said.
