The 12th UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum will take place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon on the afternoon of Wednesday 1 and the morning of Thursday 2 September – and will be the occasion for top club coaches to discuss the latest trends in European football and express their views on the major issues affecting the elite club game.
A number of Europe's leading coaches have been invited and among those who have confirmed their attendance are: José Mourinho (Real Madrid CF), Josep Guardiola (FC Barcelona), Sir Alex Ferguson (Manchester United FC), Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea FC), Roy Hodgson (Liverpool FC), Claude Puel (Olympique Lyonnais), Didier Deschamps (Olympique de Marseille), Massimiliano Allegri (AC Milan), Claudio Ranieri (AS Roma), Felix Magath (FC Schalke 04), Thomas Schaaf (SV Werder Bremen), Martin Jol (AFC Ajax), Jorge Jesus (SL Benfica), Jesualdo Ferreira (Málaga CF), Nikos Nioplias (Panathinaikos FC), Jean Fernandez (AJ Auxerre), Thorsten Fink (FC Basel 1893).
Members of the media wishing to attend the post-forum press briefing, scheduled for Thursday 2 September at 12.30CET, must inform UEFA in writing by emailing fame_accreditations@uefa.ch before midday on Tuesday 31 August – stating name, outlet and contact details.
The elite coaches forum was first held in 1999 and this is the 12th edition of the annual event, where the continent's foremost club coaches are invited to share their experiences and thoughts on a variety of subjects relating to the state of the game at the highest level.
