Slovakia winger Vladimír Weiss has become Rangers FC's second signing of the summer, joining the Scottish Premier League champions on a season-long loan from Manchester City FC.
The 20-year-old, who played three times for his country at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and spent the second half of last term on loan at Bolton Wanderers FC, arrived in Glasgow on Thursday to finalise the terms of his move. It is thought the prospect of playing UEFA Champions League football was a major factor in Weiss's decision to join the Ibrox club.
Weiss's arrival follows that of striker James Beattie, who came north on a two-year deal from English outfit Stoke City FC last week. Rangers enter this season's UEFA Champions League at the group stage.
