The spending at SC Braga has continued with forward Hélder Barbosa becoming the UEFA Champions League debutants' ninth signing of the summer after arriving from Vitória FC for undisclosed fee.
The former Portuguese Under-21 international, 23, has agreed a three-year deal at Braga. A product of FC Porto's youth system, Barbosa scored two goals in 26 matches last term for Setúbal, whom he joined following a spell at CD Trofense.
Meanwhile, Braga have made a statement on the injury suffered by Barbosa's fellow new recruit, Quim, saying the goalkeeper had "undergone a successful operation after suffering a complete rupture of his right Achilles tendon". The 34-year-old picked up the injury in training on Friday and is expected to be sidelined until the new year.
