Fenerbahçe SK have brought Caner Erkin back to Turkey after agreeing a reported €2m transfer fee with PFC CSKA Moscow.
The attacking midfielder, 21, has signed a four-year contract with Fenerbahçe after a three-season stint in Russia. Caner joined CSKA from Manisaspor in January 2007, but struggled to nail down a first-team spot and managed just 33 league appearances at the Moscow club, scoring one goal.
The Turkish international spent the 2009/10 campaign on loan at Galatasaray AŞ, but moves to their Istanbul rivals on a permanent basis. "I've always been a big fan of Fenerbahçe and Aykut Kocaman's presence as a coach influenced my decision to come," Caner said. "I hope to stay here for many years. Our targets should always be big and we want to lift all the trophies we're competing for."
Fenerbahçe start their European season in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round.
