FC Barcelona's injury problems continue to mount with the news that defender Eric Abidal has suffered a groin tear that could sideline him for up to two months.
The setback provides Josep Guardiola with another headache after the coach last week lost Daniel Alves (calf) and Yaya Touré (thigh) for the UEFA Champions League first knockout round encounter away to VfB Stuttgart on 23 February. The 30-year-old Abidal – who last November signed a one-year contract extension until 2012 – suffered the injury in training for the trip to Club Atlético de Madrid on Sunday.
