A knee injury sustained in Sunday's 1-0 win against ACF Fiorentina has shorn FC Internazionale Milano of Portuguese winger Ricardo Quaresma for next week's decisive UEFA Champions League Group F encounter with FC Rubin Kazan.
Tight group
Quaresma was replaced 73 minutes into the victory over the Viola in what was his first start of the season and subsequent tests confirmed the 26-year-old strained ligaments in his right knee. It rules him out for the visit of the Russian titleholders, who are level on six points with Inter going into Matchday 6, with FC Barcelona leading the way on eight points ahead of their game against bottom-placed FC Dynamo Kyiv. Quaresma has twice appeared as a substitute in this season's UEFA Champions League.
