VfB Stuttgart have been dealt a double defensive blow ahead of their UEFA Champions League Group G match against Sevilla FC after full-backs Christian Träsch and Ricardo Osorio both picked up injuries during the goalless draw with FC Bayern München.
Three-week break
Right-back Osorio was substituted after 14 minutes of Saturday's Bundesliga game after tearing a muscle in his left thigh and will be sidelined for three weeks. Träsch moved into the Mexican international's position following the change but was also unable to complete the game as he picked up a groin strain. The 22-year-old will definitely miss the trip to Seville on Wednesday, although the length of his absence has yet to be revealed, while Ciprian Marica remains a doubt with a groin problem. Stuttgart currently occupy third place in Group G, having collected two points from three matches.
