Cacau injury deepens Stuttgart gloom

VfB Stuttgart have been dealt another blow following their 3-1 defeat by Sevilla FC on Tuesday, with Germany striker Cacau being ruled out of the return fixture in Spain in two weeks' time.

Three-week absence
The 28-year-old tore a muscle in his hip during the UEFA Champions League Group G game and had to be substituted after 69 minutes. He is expected to be sidelined for three weeks. Cacau will also miss Bundesliga matches against Hannover 96, FC Bayern München and possibly the trip to VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach on 7 November. The Brazilian-born forward has scored once in seven league outings this term.
