Sulley Muntari hopes FC Internazionale Milano's seven-game wait for a European win will end at home to FC Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday, admitting his side "struggle in Europe, especially compared to what we do in Serie A".

'Great condition'
José Mourinho's men have drawn four UEFA Champions League games and lost three since a 1-0 win against Anorthosis Famagusta FC on 22 October last year, but Muntari is determined that their barren patch will not extend to a whole 12 months, with the midfielder's side having posted a stunning 5-0 victory at Genoa CFC on Saturday. "We are in great condition; I am sure we will play a good game and finally win," said the 25-year-old.

Positive spin
Boasting 19 points from eight games, Inter sit atop Serie A once again as they bid for a fifth successive title, but they have been relatively disappointing in Europe during that time, bowing out in the first knockout round in their last three UEFA Champions League campaigns. "We can't deny we struggle in Europe, especially compared to what we do in Serie A," said the Ghanaian international. "We have the potential to do well and I don't care if we haven't won in the last seven games; we will start winning again from tomorrow."

Tactical shift
Mourinho kept faith in Muntari despite some criticism from sections of the Inter crowd at the start of the month, with the former Portsmouth FC player eager to put that rough patch behind him. "I am not thinking about that situation anymore," he said. He also refused to shed light on his side's potential tactics, with Inter having fielded Mario Balotelli as a lone striker at Genoa CFC and speculation reigning that Samuel Eto'o – recovering from injury – could replace the suspended Balotelli in a similar role. "Every match is different so maybe we will change again," said Muntari. "In any case, we are totally focused on this game. We have what it takes to win."
