Salomon Kalou has signed a new three-year contract at Chelsea FC tying him to the club until summer 2012.
New deals
Kalou, 24, joins fellow Ivory Coast forward Didier Drogba, John Terry, Ashley Cole, John Mikel Obi, Florent Malouda, Hilário and Michael Mancienne in signing new deals since the end of last season. Kalou joined Chelsea in 2006 from Feyenoord, and has scored 31 goals in 159 appearances for the London club, as well as helping Ivory Coast to the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals. "I am very pleased that Salomon has signed a new contract with us as he is an important player for this club," manager Carlo Ancelotti said. "I am sure that Salomon will become an even more important player for Chelsea in the future." Chelsea are top of UEFA Champions League Group D with two wins and welcome Club Atlético de Madrid on Wednesday week.
