PFC CSKA Moskva midfielder Mark González will miss the UEFA Champions League match against Manchester United FC on 21 October after suffering an ankle injury during Chile's FIFA World Cup qualifier in Colombia.
Three-week absence
González started the game, which Chile won 4-2 to confirm their place at the 2010 finals, but was substituted midway through the second half due to an ankle problem that is expected to keep him out for up to three weeks. The 25-year-old midfielder will miss several Russian Premier-Liga matches as well as the Matchday 3 game in Moscow against the English champions. CSKA are third in UEFA Champions League Group B with three points from two games.
